2/21/2023 0 Comments Callnote crashes on startupI apparently breached the Apple rules with that and my post got immediately removed. I offered a to provide Keynote.app 7.2 with a link, just trying to help. They asked for help which they apparently did not get from you or Apple as neither did I, in this case. Some had no longer access to their prior Keynote.app 7.2. I read other users having the same or a similar problem with the Keynote update in this community. Subsequent updates to High Sierra and then to Keynote.app 7.3.1 did not change that situation. Fortunately, replacing (from TimeMachine) the Keynote.app 7.3 by 7.2 in the Applications folder made Keynote work again. Keynote crashed without exception within less than a minute, at the latest when I tried to save changes. The update from 7.2 to 7.3 made it unusable for me on both my computers (MacBook Pro and MacBook Air). I am a daily and quite sophisticated user of Keynote.app and, consequently, I heavily depend on it working. I have been a Mac user since 1984 and I have used Keynote since its introduction in 2003. I always appreciate your knowledgeable support. If you're concerned that you may be unable to "recover" the large file, an Apple Support CHAT might help you find another way to retrieve it. Sorry I can't help you resolve the problem, but perhaps if you shut down your Mac and restart it that endless loop of crashes may stop. I suggest you use the Keynote Provide Feedback link and describe the issue in detail. Further evidence that the iWork update is the problem. I use a second Mac, and intentionally have NOT YET updated Pages - the large document opens fine on that Mac. That suggests that the problem is with the recent Keynote and Pages application update, not with Mac OS High Sierra. (I'd already clicked Send Report every time Pages crashed.) I sent the reports again, have not heard anything further from iWork Team.įYI, unlike you, I had NOT UPDATED to High Sierra. Shortly afterward I received an email from "iWork Team" asking if I could recreate the issue and send them Reports. Later, using Provide Pages Feedback, I sent an email describing the problem. I spent quite a while in an Apple Support Chat without resolving the problem. About the same date you reported this problem with Keynote I had the same issue with a very large Pages document.
